A man has been fined for dumping a large pile of construction waste behind a shop in Hull.
Rafal Lukaszyrk has been prosecuted at Hull Magistrates' Court after he left waste behind D and S Specks, on Wold Road.
The 47-year-old received a 12-month conditional discharge and has been ordered to pay £690 to Hull City Council.
Portfolio holder for environment, Councillor Charlie Quinn, said: "There is absolutely no excuse for fly-tipping.

"It's illegal, unsightly and costs the taxpayer money that could be better spent on essential services."
Cllr Quinn said anyone who witnesses or has footage of fly-tipping should contact the council.
He continued: "This prosecution sends a clear message that we will not tolerate fly-tipping."
Hull City Council said it takes fly-tipping "very seriously" and "instances are always investigated".

The council said online: "We want to find evidence to help identify and locate those responsible for this activity. Then enforcement action taken.
"To tackle fly-tipping, we may use CCTV in locations to identify offenders. Decisions about the deployment of mobile CCTV is taken in response to service requests and operational data.
"It is not done in response to individual requests. If we get evidence, we will seek to identify and locate those responsible for this activity. We will take enforcement action."
The council warned of illegal waste carriers who accept money from people and then fly-tip.

Hull City Council warned that if your waste is discovered by the illegal waste carrier, "you can be fined and get a criminal record".
If you see someone fly-tipping or find fly-tipped waste, you can report it by using the online form on the council's website.
The council asks for a series of information to help remove the waste and identify those responsible.
Hull City Council said if you have photos, dashcam, mobile video or CCTV footage of the fly-tipper, hand it to them.

Between 2023/24, England dealt with 1.15million fly-tipping incidents, up by six per cent compared to the previous calendar year.
Around 60 per cent of this was household waste, which was up by five per cent.
There has been a steady upward trend of fly-tipping in the UK.
Between 2018 and 2019, there were around 957,000 fly-tipping incident. This goes up by nearly 200,000 between 2023 and 2024.
