Norwegian cities are reportedly facing a surge in violent crime linked to migrant communities, according to a local journalist who grew up in a multicultural housing project.
Rebecca Mistereggen, who witnessed the rise of migrant-related crime firsthand, said what was once a calm and peaceful country is now experiencing gangland turf wars and violent attacks.
She described shocking incidents, including hand grenades going off in residential areas and violent street robberies.
Ms Mistereggen said schoolgirls in Norway have even been told to “respect the culture” of men who sexually assaulted them on school grounds.

In an interview with GB News Originals, she said: "Right next to my secondary school, there was a centre for Norwegian language courses, mainly for Afghan immigrants.
"I would take the bus to school because I lived further away than the other students. From the start, some of the boys would touch my hair, which I did not like.
"But it got worse. They would follow girls into the bathrooms. In our schoolyard, which was a large square, the toilets were located under the gym building.
"This meant they could easily enter the school premises. During breaks between classes, when everyone was outside, these boys would come into the schoolyard and follow girls into the toilets, groping them.

"When someone is touched without consent, it’s deeply violating and when you tell them to stop, they continued. It was extremely disturbing, especially targeting 13, 14, and 15-year-old girls.
"And when you reported this to adults, the response was often, 'you have to understand, these people come from a different culture.'
"But no culture should ever accept groping children or anyone else.
"As for the men involved, estimating their age is difficult. I would guess early 20s, maybe, but it’s hard to say for certain."

She compared the response to that seen in the UK, highlighting similar failures to address grooming gangs before public outrage forced action.
Ms Mistereggen warned that unless policies change, Norway could continue to see rising violence and insecurity in its cities.
She also emphasised that ordinary Norwegian citizens are feeling increasingly unsafe in their own communities.
Ms Mistereggen concluded that European nations must confront the realities of mass migration honestly, rather than suppressing discussion or excusing criminal behaviour.
Norway, one of the world’s wealthiest nations with a high per capita economic output and a generous welfare state, has become a magnet for immigrants.
Today, nearly 21 per cent of its 5.6 million population are either immigrants or their children.
Immigration to Norway is a relatively recent phenomenon. Until the late 20th century, it was limited, but demand from the country’s booming oil sector and a commitment to humanitarian policies changed that.
Since 2000, the foreign-born population has nearly quadrupled, reaching 931,000 in 2024 around 16.8 per cent of the population—with the children of immigrants adding another 4 per cent.
