At least five people were killed and dozens of others were injured as Israel carried out strikes in southern Gaza, according to reports.
Israeli jets launched strikes on Gaza City after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu accused the terrorist organisation Hamas of violating a ceasefire in the Palestinian territory.
He ordered the Israeli military to carry out "powerful attacks".
The strikes were targeted at the Sabra neighbourhood on Tuesday.

Israel accused Hamas of carrying out an attack against the IDF (Israeli Defence Force) in an area that is under Israeli control.
An Israeli military official said: "This is yet another blatant violation of the ceasefire."
A spokesman for Hamas’s Civil Defence told the BBC that a series of Israeli airstrikes had hit homes, the courtyard of al-Shifa Hospital, and several other areas in Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis.
Gaza's civil defence agency says an Israeli air strike on a vehicle in the south of the territory has killed five people, according to AFP news agency.

The US-backed ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 10, halting two years of war that was triggered by deadly Hamas-led attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023.
World leaders, including Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, flew to Egypt for a summit to mark the occasion, where they were greeted by US President Donald Trump.
Both sides have since accused each other of ceasefire violations.
Earlier on Tuesday, Israeli media reported an exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Hamas fighters in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

The terrorist organisation said in a statement that it remained committed to the ceasefire deal in Gaza and denied responsibility for an attack on Israeli forces in Rafah.
Prime Minister Netanyahu accused Hamas of violating the ceasefire terms by turning over more remains of Ozir Tzarfati, whose body was recovered by Israeli forces in late 2023, instead of the remains of another person held captive whose body had been previously unreturned.
Mr Tzarfati's remains had already been partially retrieved by Israeli troops during the war.
Hamas said Mr Netanyahu was looking for excuses to back away from Israel's obligations.
Under the ceasefire terms, Hamas released all living hostages in return for nearly 2,000 Palestinian convicts and wartime detainees, while Israel pulled back its troops and halted its offensive.

Mr Vance told reporters: "The ceasefire is holding. That doesn't mean that there aren't going to be little skirmishes here and there."
"We know that Hamas or somebody else within Gaza attacked an (Israeli military) soldier. We expect the Israelis are going to respond, but I think the President's peace is going to hold despite that."
Hamas has said that it will take time to locate and retrieve the bodies amid Gaza's ruins.
