A drone strike tore through the passenger terminal at Kuwait's international airport, representing one of the gravest breaches of the US-Iran ceasefire since it was established in April.
The Iranian strike on Wednesday killed one person and left 63 others wounded.
The victim was an Indian national living in Kuwait, marking the first confirmed death since the truce came into effect following more than a month of conflict sparked by American and Israeli military action against Iran.
Kuwait's armed forces condemned the incident as "criminal Iranian aggression".
Footage from the scene captured flames engulfing parts of the terminal, with smoke billowing as passengers fled from debris scattered beneath a gaping hole in the roof.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the assault came in retaliation for American forces striking a tanker and communications infrastructure on Qeshm Island, situated close to the Strait of Hormuz.
However, Tehran has rejected any involvement in the airport attack.
IRGC spokesman Hossein Mohebi declared: "Our investigation and review into the Kuwait passenger terminal attack shows that the IRGC Air Force did not fire any shots at this target."

He attributed the terminal's destruction to a malfunction in American air defence systems.
The spokesman claimed a Patriot missile struck the building after failing to intercept incoming Iranian projectiles.
Iran also accused both Kuwait and Bahrain of permitting Washington to conduct operations from their soil.
The confrontation began when American forces fired a Hellfire missile at a Botswana-registered ship after its crew reportedly disregarded warnings while sailing toward Iran's Kharg Island oil facility through international waters.

Tehran responded by launching ballistic missiles at US military installations across the Gulf region.
Two were directed at Kuwait and three at Bahrain, according to American military officials.
Iran simultaneously deployed three attack drones aimed at civilian shipping.
Washington then conducted what it termed "self-defence" operations against a drone control facility on Qeshm Island, located in the northern reaches of the Strait of Hormuz, a vital shipping lane that has been largely shut down by the ongoing hostilities.

Donald Trump insisted peace negotiations remained on track.
Mr Trump has reportedly clashed with Benjamin Netanyahu over the past week regarding how to conclude the Iranian conflict, with the US president pursuing diplomacy while the Israeli prime minister faces domestic pressure for military escalation.
Tehran has set out several conditions for any agreement, including a cessation of hostilities in Lebanon, access to billions in frozen oil revenues, sanctions relief on crude exports, and an end to the American blockade of its ports.
Mr Trump has said preventing Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons remains his foremost objective, while Tehran maintains its atomic programme serves purely civilian purposes.
