Donald Trump has shared dramatic video footage showing US bunker-buster bombs destroying a crucial ammo depot in Iran.

The footage captured multiple enormous explosions illuminating the night sky above the Iranian city of Isfahan in the early hours of Tuesday morning, with a striking mushroom cloud rising from the impact zone.

Isfahan, which has a population of approximately 2.3 million, serves as the location of the Badr military airbase.

Media outlets have reported that the footage, shared via the President's Truth Social platform, demonstrates a coordinated American and Israeli assault on a significant military ammunition storage facility.

Multiple blasts were visible in the recording, with intense fires spreading across the targeted area as the attack unfolded during the night.

According to The Wall Street Journal, citing a US official, American forces deployed 2,000-pound bunker-buster bombs against the complex, equivalent to approximately 907 kilograms.

The operation utilised a substantial quantity of penetrator munitions, the official stated.

The targeted facility reportedly housed extensive stockpiles of weaponry, including armour-piercing munitions.

Subsequent to the initial bombardment, multiple significant secondary explosions occurred, generating massive fireballs and shockwaves that rippled through the surrounding district.

One Azerbaijani outlet reported that the magnitude of this assault far exceeded previous incidents, with flames spreading across zones connected to military installations.

The strikes are understood to form part of a wider offensive aimed at degrading Iran's military infrastructure and capabilities.

Isfahan has been subjected to repeated attacks since the beginning of March, though earlier operations were considerably more limited in scope.

The city was previously struck during Operation Midnight Hammer last summer, when American forces concentrated their efforts on Iranian nuclear installations.

Washington and Tel Aviv have consistently maintained that Tehran is approaching nuclear weapons capability, though the UN's nuclear watchdog has stated it possesses no evidence that Iran is actively constructing such a weapon.

However, recent intelligence reports have suggested that Iran may have relocated approximately 540 kilograms of highly enriched uranium to a subterranean facility located within Isfahan.

Prior to the latest strikes, reports had emerged that Trump was weighing a special operations mission to penetrate deep into Iranian territory to seize enriched uranium stockpiles.

The latest bombardment represents a substantial escalation, with destruction and damage across the city appearing far more extensive than in previous incidents.

Concerns about further intensification have mounted as the conflict moves into its second month.

Pakistan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Turkey have all engaged in diplomatic efforts seeking to reduce tensions between the parties.

Despite earlier signals suggesting that Washington and Tehran might have been progressing towards a ceasefire agreement, the most recent wave of attacks indicates the opposite trajectory.

The conflict appears to be deepening rather than abating, with Iranian military assets and supply networks facing increasingly sustained assault.

Iran's military infrastructure has become a primary focus as the campaign continues to expand in both intensity and scope.
