It comes as Netanyahu confirmed Israel has agreed to a ceasefire deal

Iranian media has published a provocative image depicting Donald Trump's head engulfed in flames following missile strikes on a US military base in Qatar and amid a newly announced ceasefire between Israel and Iran.

The disturbing image, shared by the Iran News Agency, shows Trump positioned as the head of a matchstick with his hair ablaze, burning an American flag.

The Government-backed agency, which operates under Iran's Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, accompanied the graphic with an ominous message in English: "The reckoning. It won't be long before you pay for what you've done."

The inflammatory publication comes despite Trump's declaration of a successful ceasefire agreement.

Iran launched a missile attack on Monday targeting the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, which the Islamic Republic described as retaliation for American bombing of its nuclear sites over the weekend.

Trump dismissed the strikes as "a very weak response," noting that Iran had provided advance warning and no casualties occurred.

"Most importantly, they've gotten it all out of their 'system,' and there will, hopefully, be no further HATE," Trump posted on Truth Social.

The President struck a markedly different tone from Iranian media, writing about what he viewed as a successful Middle East intervention and saying, "Congratulations world, it's time for peace".

Qatar condemned the attack as "a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty, its airspace, and international law."

The Iran News Agency's provocative image represents a stark contrast to the diplomatic language surrounding the ceasefire negotiations.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian had written on social media before the missile strikes: "We neither initiated the war nor seeking it. But we will not leave invasion to the great Iran without answer." (sic)

State television announced the attack with martial music, displaying a caption calling it "a mighty and successful response" to "America's aggression".

Iran stated the missile volley matched the number of bombs dropped by the United States on Iranian nuclear sites, deliberately targeting the Qatar base because it was outside populated areas. These comments suggested Iran sought de-escalation with the United States.

Trump announced on Tuesday that "THE CEASEFIRE IS NOW IN EFFECT. PLEASE DO NOT VIOLATE IT!" following what he termed "THE 12 DAY WAR" between Israel and Iran.

The agreement came after Trump brokered a deal in a call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with a senior White House official confirming Israel agreed, provided that Iran launched no further attacks.

Netanyahu's office stated Israel had "achieved its goal of removing Iran's nuclear and ballistic threat" and thanked Trump for his "support in defence and participation".

The Israeli government warned it would respond "forcefully" to any ceasefire violations.

Qatar's Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani secured Tehran's agreement during negotiations, whilst US officials, including Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, maintained contact with Iranian representatives.
