A lucky ticket holder in Ulster has claimed the latest EuroMillions jackpot, walking away with £15million from Friday's draw.
The National Lottery confirmed the winning ticket was bought at a retail outlet in County Cavan, although the precise shop will only be disclosed on Tuesday.
The fortunate punter matched all five main numbers — 7, 25, 30, 37 and 41 — along with both Lucky Stars, 5 and 11, to secure the cash prize.
The same draw also produced a €500,000 winner in Limerick through the EuroMillions Plus game.
This remarkable win marks the second time in just a fortnight that Cavan has produced a millionaire, following a Daily Million top prize claimed last month.
It also represents Ireland's second EuroMillions jackpot success of 2025, coming after a family syndicate secured an extraordinary €250million in July — the largest sum ever won by an Irish player.

Friday's €17million jackpot arrives at a particularly festive moment, with the winner yet to come forward
| PAThe previous record-breaking jackpot was claimed last summer, cementing what has been an exceptional year for Irish lottery players.
National Lottery spokesman Darragh O'Dwyer expressed delight at the timing of the win, stating: "This incredible win comes at a special time of year and is sure to be a huge Christmas surprise for the winner."
He urged all players ito examine their tickets thoroughly, adding: "We're asking all Cavan players to check their tickets very carefully and, if you are the winner, sign the back of your ticket and keep it safe."
The claims team stands ready to assist the winner through the process, with the retail location set to be announced tomorrow.
