The US President took aim at 'unrecognisable Europe' and vowed he will 'not use force' to obtain Greenland in his 70-minute speech

Bev Turner has heaped praise on Donald Trump for his "glorious" address to the World Economic Forum (WEF), saying he successfully "tackled the elephant in the room".

Speaking on GB News, the Late Show Live star hailed the US President for "dropping truth bombs on the globalists" during his 70-minute speech.

Taking to the stage at Davos, Mr Trump declared he will "not use force" to obtain Greenland for US control, but warned that the nation "will remember" if they say no.

Mr Trump told the Forum: "We want a piece of ice for world protection, and they won't give it. We've never asked for anything else.

"And we could have kept that piece of land and we didn't. So they have a choice. You can say yes and we will be very appreciative. Or you can say no, and we will remember."

Analysing the speech, Bev told GB News: "Donald Trump's speech was pretty much what we might have expected. It was a combination of domestic policy.

"He obviously started with his wins, he started with a bit of a joke about the fact that it's a room of my friends, and then he paused and said 'some of my enemies', and he was talking, as he does, about his successes here in America."

She continued: "Actually, the 90 minutes that he stood on stage behind the lectern in the briefing room yesterday almost acted as a bit of a rehearsal for his speech today, although obviously he had the teleprompter today and he didn't yesterday.

"But he was keen to lay out the economic success of America, he's very proud of that, he never gives up an opportunity to talk about the conflicts around the world that he's solved."

Highlighting Mr Trump's remarks about Greenland, Bev praised Mr Trump for "tackling the elephant in the room".

She recalled: "It is a point of difference that he has with other people at Davos - a lot of people there are very polite, they're all on the same message.

"And he just comes in and says, 'should we talk about Greenland?' He said, 'I wasn't going to mention it, but I thought I might basically get a bit of stick if I didn't'. So then he talks about Greenland, and it was very difficult to argue with his logic."

She added: "He reduced it to national security. He actually said, this isn't about the rare earth minerals, which is one of the speculations that we've all been talking about as to whether that's part of the logic of wanting Greenland.

"He said it isn't about the rare earth minerals, they are hundreds of feet underneath the ice, he said. It was almost like they would be quite difficult for them to access. He said this is just about national security."

Pinpointing a remark made by the President which will have "surprised many of us", Bev told GB News: "In terms of drama, the fact that Trump did say 'I won't use force', that I think came as a surprise to people.

"I don't think any of us who are watching him closely thought that he would actually use force against Greenland, but the fact that he's admitted it at this stage of the negotiations is quite unlike President Trump, because he normally is on the front foot for quite a lot longer when he's trying to get what he wants. So he did row back on that."

Hailing Mr Trump for his apparent attack on the "globalists" present at the Forum, Bev concluded: "It was exactly what you would expect from President Trump. It was a little bit winding in places, he likes to go off script at tangents with a few little anecdotes here and there, but he dropped enormous truth bombs on a room of globalists.

"One of the bits that stuck out for me, the motto of that crowd in relation to agenda 2030, we've all heard it, 'by 2030, you will own nothing and you will be happy'.

"There have been a large number of non-governmental organisations who've been nudging the world towards one in which we don't own our own home, we don't own our own car, we rent everything. And I've always hoped that the public would push back against that, because I think human nature involves the need to want to own your own home and own your own car.

"And one of the things that he's done here, which hasn't got the attention that it deserved, is he said to the room, 'I'm sorry, I know a lot of you are here'. And that's the investment banks who've bought up swathes of individual houses in America."
