The Israeli Prime Minister also said that on his orders troops are broadcasting his speech to Palestinians in Gaza

Diplomats from across the world have stormed out of the UN General Assembly as Benjamin Netanyahu began his speech.

Before the Israeli Prime Minister began speaking, several individuals present in the hall walked out.

The chair repeatedly said “please, order in the hall” and banged his gavel.

Large Palestine protesters are currently taking place outside the UN General Assembly.

The Israeli Prime Minister suggested that much of the world doesn't remember the attacks of October 7 2023, where the deadliest in Israel's history saw the number killed 31 times as large as in the next most fatal attack in 1978.

He said: "But we remember why we fight, and why we must win".

Mr Netanyahu added: "Sure, in the days immediately following October 7, many of them supported Israel, but that support quickly evaporated when Israel did what any self-respecting nation would do in the wake of such a savage attack, we fought back.

"This is precisely what Israel is doing in Gaza. We’re wiping out the terror regime of Hamas and ensuring that this savagery will never threaten Israel again. That’s what we are doing. That’s what any self-respecting government would do.”

Criticising governments who have condemned Israel, he said: "When the going got tough, you caved."

"Over time, many world leaders buckled. They buckled under the pressure of a biased media, radical Islamist constituencies and anti-Semitic mobs. There’s a familiar saying, when the going gets tough, the tough got going. Well for many countries here, when the going got tough, you caved."

Mr Netanyahu said that on his orders, troops are broadcasting his speech to Palestinians in Gaza from loudspeakers mounted on trucks on the Israeli side of the border.

He spoke first in Hebrew and then in English, a message directed to hostages in the Hamas-controlled territory.

He declared: "We have not forgotten you - not even for a second," he said, adding that Israel will not rest "until we bring all of you home".

Mr Netanyahu then used his address to "denounce" the leaders of countries who have recognised a Palestinian state.

He said Israel had “devastated” Iran’s atomic weapons and ballistic missiles programme and had also "hammered" the Houthis, "crushed the bulk of Hamas” and "crippled" Hezbollah.

He claimed that many world leaders who have condemned the actions of Israel have privately sided with him before thanking US President Donald Trump for “his bold, decisive action against Iran”.

The Israeli Prime Minister said: "You know deep down that Israel, Israel is fighting your fight. So I want to tell you a secret behind closed doors, many of the leaders who publicly condemn us, privately thank us.

"They tell me how much they value Israel’s superb intelligence services that have prevented, time and again, terrorist attacks in their capitals, time and again, saving countless lives."

Mr Netanyahu denied that the Israelis were committing genocide and began to explain the ways in which he says Israel is avoiding civilian casualties in Gaza, which include leafletting and messaging civilians to leave Gaza City before assaults.

He said: "Despite Hamas’ threats, close to 700,000 Gazans – almost three quarters of a million – have already heeded our calls and moved to safe zones

The Israeli Prime Minister added: "Now I want to ask you a simple question, a simple logical question, would a country committing genocide plead with the civilian population it is supposedly targeting to get out of harm’s way? Would we tell them get out if we want to commit genocide?"

He said that “Israel must finish the job in Gaza as fast as possible”.

Prime Minister Netanyahu reacted to the decision of countries including Britain and France to recognise a Palestinian state, describing it as "national suicide" for Israel.

Mr Netanyahu described it as "sheer madness, it's insane and we won't do it".

He added: "This week, the leaders of France, Britain, Australia, Canada and other countries unconditionally recognised a Palestinian state.

"They did so after the horrors committed by Hamas on October 7 – horrors praised on that day by nearly 90 per cent of the Palestinian population."
