AirAsia's CEO posted online to share a photo of his massage

AirAsia’s boss has been slammed after he posted a picture of himself receiving a topless massage during a management meeting.

Posting on LinkedIn, Tony Fernandes wrote that it had been a “stressful week”.

“Got to love Indonesia and AirAsia culture that I can have a massage and do a management meeting,” the entrepreneur said in a now-deleted post.

The photo shows Fernandes in a glass-walled meeting room on a call whilst a woman in a face mask massages him.

The picture has sparked an uproar on social media, with many calling his actions inappropriate.

“So unprofessional and disrespectful,” said one user online.

“He should be setting an example of good work ethics and culture, not flaunting his body and privilege,” they continued.

Another user called it “gross” and said it “impacts work ethics”.

A third commented: “Some CEOs need to stay off LinkedIn.”

“Yeah, maybe this isn't the best way to show off work culture? Don't think you are giving the intended impression you hoped it would,” a fourth chimed in.

Others were more supportive of Fernandes’ post.

One wrote, “Love this boss!!”, whilst another said this is how “working from home” should be done.

AirAsia’s boss has been hailed as Malaysia’s equivalent to Richard Branson.

Fernandes moved to the UK as a child to attend the prestigious Epsom College - one of Britain's top-fee paying schools.

He bought the airline in 2001 from the Malaysian government and turned it into a commercial affordable carrier.

Fernandes was the founder of the former Caterham F1 Formula One team and was also the majority shareholder of Queens Park Rangers Football Club until July this year.
