Sir Vince Cable has told Nigel Farage there is a chance that Britain could return to the European Union in the next ’10 to 20 years”
Britain took to the polls to vote on whether to leave the EU on June 23, 2016.
A total of 51.89 percent of people voted to leave, while 48.11 percent voted to remain.

And speaking six years on from that vote, the former Leader of the Liberal Democrats Sir Vince believes that while Britain’s membership status is settled for now, it could change in the coming years.
In a conversation on GB News’ Farage, Nigel asked Sir Vince: “Am I right in saying that membership itself is now a settled issue?"
To which Remainer Sir Vince replied: “I think that’s correct, certainly for the near future.
“Maybe in 10, 15, 20 years we’ll go back to it.
“In the meantime I think you’ll find increasing anxiety we get back into some sensible economic relationship which may means single market, it may mean customers union.
“There is a recognition now amongst Remainers and I’m one of them that this is a settled issue for the time being.
“There’s no point going round saying ‘I told you so’, it’s not a good look and we just need to get on with it and get the best out of it that we can.
“That said, I think it’s fairly clear that although you could argue that we’ve gained sovereignty, freedom of choice in some areas, immigration, there has been an economic hit, small business exports to the EU, big devaluation that wasn’t reversed, slow down I business investments, they have hit people.”
