'They leave little kids out here to die. They pack them in trucks, they rape women... It's absolutely terrible,' The People's Channel was told

Ben Leo has uncovered the vile extent of migrant crime on the US-Mexico border in a disturbing visit to America's front line.

Ben headed to Arizona to bring in GB News' flagship US programme, The Late Show Live.

There, Lieutenant Chris LaPre from Pinal County Sheriff's Office showed The People's Channel just what happens at the heart of the US migrant crisis.

Lt LaPre travelled with Ben to the Casa Grande - which he said "was one of the main smuggling corridors in the United States up until last year".

Guiding GB News through a dirt track near the border, the lieutenant revealed what conditions were like before Donald Trump returned to office and cracked down on the migrant crisis which skyrocketed under Joe Biden.

"If you came here a year ago, this would literally be nothing but freshly disturbed, freshly kicked up, gravel," Lt LaPre said.

"That would be all human footprints from just the amount of traffic coming through here.

"You're talking thousands a month. Thousands."

Ben also uncovered strange methods used by Mexican migrants and drug-traffickers to evade capture by American border guards.

Lt LaPre showed him "sneaky feet", or cloth add-ons which would be wrapped around migrants' shoes to scuff their footprints in the dirt.

Elsewhere, the lieutenant showed GB News the harnesses used to carry caches of drugs across the border into America.

With border crossings plummeting under President Trump, Ben asked Lt LaPre whether political will can solve a migrant crisis.

His reply uncovered a grisly truth about the people-smugglers on the border.

"It's political will," Lt LaPre said. "And allowing the authorities that have the right to enforce that will do their job.

"But what they don't show is the side of these people, like we've talked about, where they leave people out here to die of exposure.

"They leave little kids out here to die. They pack them in trucks, they rape women. They have 'rape trees' and all that stuff. It's absolutely terrible."

Visibly taken aback, Ben asked what "rape trees" were.

Lt LaPre explained: "Something like 70 per cent of women that are trafficked through the border are sexually assaulted.

"A rape tree... As they're coming up, they'll find a lay up spot, and it's usually a smaller mesquite tree.

"The women are sexually assaulted. Bras or panties are taken off them and thrown in a tree. It's a signal. It's a sign that we own you guys."

As well as drug-trafficking and sex offences, the Arizona lieutenant described a different chilling encounter on the front line.

He had found two groups of people, the smaller of which was "giving us the nod like, hey, we're not with these guys".

"We ended up digging into it. Once we get them back to be able to fingerprint them, these were found to be high-ranking members of Al-Qaeda. They were lieutenants in Al-Qaeda," he said.
