Young people have been left re-energised to continue Charlie Kirk’s mission

Turning Point USA has seen a huge surge in support in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s death, with tens of thousands of new chapters signing up across the country.

Bo Loudon, close friend of Barron Trump, told GB News the grassroots organisation is "bigger and better than ever," and said the movement is stronger with young people re-energised to continue Mr Kirk’s mission.

Speaking on GB News, Mr Loudon said: "I have so many friends telling me 'hey man, I haven’t been to church in 15 years, but I’m back in church today after the assassination of Charlie Kirk.'

"It’s made a massive impact all around the world. I’ve had friends call me from China, from the UK, leading support groups and prayer groups for Charlie Kirk, hosting them all over the nation. It’s made a huge impact.

"Turning Point itself now have around 50,000 new chapter sign-ups, up from about 1,600. That’s a massive jump."

Charlie Kirk, Turning Point USA's founder, was fatally shot while delivering a speech at Utah Valley University as part of his American Comeback Tour.

Authorities have charged Tyler Robinson, 22, with aggravated murder and additional offences in connection with the killing.

Mr Kirk had established himself as a prominent figure in mobilising young conservative voters, building a network that connected students across secondary schools and universities throughout the United States.

Mr Loudon added to The People's Channel: "First and foremost, thanks for having me on. Everything at Turning Point has been bigger and better than ever. They are more action-ready and out there than I’ve ever seen.

"That memorial was one of the most incredible nights of my entire life. First of all, it was exactly how Charlie Kirk would have done it.

"Having all of these people who may have been religious here and there, but having them all proclaim Jesus Christ as King right there on stage in front of millions watching around the world, and hundreds of thousands there in person it was truly something special and unlike any event I’ve ever been to in my life.

"But Turning Point is stronger than ever. They’re getting ready to go back to college campuses.

"We have AmericaFest in December, which is going to be massive, probably as big, if not even bigger, than the memorial service.

"And it’s all to carry on Charlie’s legacy and honour the life he lived, and the legacy he is leaving behind for all of us with Turning Point."

The organisation has launched multiple revenue-generating initiatives in the aftermath of Mr Kirk's death, offering supporters the opportunity to contribute donations of up to £8,000 through their website.

A fundraising message distributed on September 14 featured an appeal from Erika Kirk stating: "I refuse to let the movement Charlie built die. It will only grow stronger, bolder, louder. Join me."

Major donor Lynn Friess has pledged £800,000 to support the organisation's continued operations.
