Yet another disturbing gaffe from Joe Biden has thrown up more questions over the US President’s ability to lead the country.
Speaking on GB News, political commentator Megyn Kelly added her name to the host of individuals casting doubt over the 80-year-old’s competency.
In a bizarre moment on Tuesday, the President was spotted quickly making his way out of the East Room after awarding the nation’s highest military honour to Larry Taylor, 81, a retired army captain.
The Vietnam War veteran shed a tear as the medal was pinned to his lapel, but Biden had little time for sentiment and instead made a swift departure.

Kelly says the President was not supposed to leave, and the plan was for him to be present for the closing benediction.
“How can we trust him to run the country when he can’t even run a medal of honour ceremony properly?”, she asked.

“He was supposed to stay until the end. There was a closing prayer he was supposed to stay for. He bolted.
“He was once again lost, he didn’t know what to do or follow basic procedures.
“This is the leader of the free world who is going to be making key decisions about Ukraine and economic policy.
“According to a Wall Street Journal poll out today, 72 per cent of Americans think he is too old for the job.

“The same press that demands cover for him is now demanding Mitch McConnell steps down because he’s had two answers where he’s frozen up.
“They can spare me the indignation when they won’t apply it to their own candidate who is at the top of government in the White House.”
Many have criticised Biden, accusing him of showing a lack of respect, while some have speculated that the commander-in-chief was simply on a mission to avoid the spotlight.
The gaffe came after Biden was criticised for removing his mask just moments before greeting Taylor, given the fact that his wife, First Lady Jill Biden, tested positive for Covid-19 the day before.
The First day remains at the couple’s Reheboth Beach home, where she was when she tested positive.
Biden’s getaway is not the first time he has faced scrutiny over his attitude towards the troops.
An infamous moment in 2021 saw Biden repeatedly check his watch during a ceremony honouring soldiers killed in an ISIS-K suicide bombing in Kabul, Afghanistan in 2021.
