Charlie Kirk played a pivotal behind-the-scenes role in paving the way for Donald Trump’s landmark Middle East peace deal, GB News has revealed.
The Turning Point USA founder, who is being posthumously awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom today, personally urged the White House to act on one of the region’s most divisive disputes.
Speaking on GB News, Bev Turner revealed that Mr Kirk made a direct call to senior Trump adviser Jared Kushner from the King David Hotel in Jerusalem in 2019.
During that conversation, the late conservative commentator argued that peace would never be possible unless the Golan Heights was formally recognised as sovereign Israeli territory.

Bev explained to the Peoples Channel: "Fast forward six years, and here we are. Today brings those two stories together and it’s about continuing Charlie’s legacy.

"Because although people might think of him primarily as an advocate for Christianity and conservative ideology, behind the scenes he was also an arbiter of peace, a negotiator.
“So, the events of the last 24 hours can be credited, to some degree, to Charlie Kirk.
"On the very day he receives the Medal of Freedom."
The revelation comes as President Trump prepares to honour Charlie Kirk’s legacy at the White House this afternoon.

He will present the Medal of Freedom to Mr Kirk’s widow, Erika, on what would have been the activist’s 32nd birthday.
Mr Trump flew back from diplomatic meetings in Israel and Egypt overnight to attend the ceremony.
Mr Kirk’s podcast producer, Andrew Kolvet, thanked the 47th President for “moving heaven and earth” to return in time.
The ceremony comes just over a month after Mr Kirk was assassinated while attending an event at Utah Valley University.

The activist was speaking to students when a lone gunman opened fire at the school on September 10.
Mr Kirk was co-founder and head of the conservative student movement Turning Point USA.
Since his death, TP USA has been taken over by his wife, who was also appointed as the movement's CEO.
Mr Kirk built a large following through his savvy use of social media, radio shows and campus tours, when he often invited sceptical students to debate him, and was credited with mobilising young voters to propel Mr Trump back to the White House in 2024.
