In this exclusive members-only video, GB News Community Editor Michael Heaver sits down with Patrick Christys

I was delighted recently to sit down with GB News Presenter Patrick Christys who has declared that when it comes to the future of this Channel: "We're not moving, we're not budging. We're in it for the long haul because we do think that this has a vital role to play in British society."

Directly addressing GB News members, Patrick declared: "Don't be shy about your views. I know it can be tricky at times because I know sometimes you can feel like you might get cancelled for something.

"But you are the majority. Just because of the people are shouting louder and they're all waving the flags and they're all saying nasty things to you on Twitter, doesn't mean that there's more of them than there are of you. You really are the majority."

Patrick also assessed the state of British politics right now, adding: "I think that the Conservative Party is too afraid of being conservative and they're trying to drag themselves into the centre, which means that they're completely losing a lot of their base and they're not dealing with actually a lot of the issues in this country that need, I think, Conservative ideology in order to sort those things out.

"So the country is just drifting. Then you've got the Labour Party is lying about how socialist it actually is and trying to drag itself towards the centre.

"You've got Keir Starmer, a bloke who was happy to get Jeremy Corbyn or try to get him elected twice and now trying to come out as, you know, as a like a lobotomised Tony Blair 2.0.

"This guy, I mean, he's so dull as knees, like a kind of going kind of curtains shopping on a wet weekend in Slough, isn't he?"

Urging better leadership from politicians in our country, Patrick gave his advice when it comes to taking on the establishment: "Ignore them. They don't live in the real world.

"If there's a Twitter backlash, ignore it. Be strong enough to power on through it. We don't have that.

"So overall, politically, a lot of homelessness and a fundamental lack of ideological leadership."
