Doncaster Council has said the £200 will be paid into bank accounts by July 8.
The money is part of the £500million cash fund that has been distributed to local councils across the country.
Some councils are handing out the money through bank payments, while others are sending it through supermarket vouchers.
Households in Rotherham can apply for bonuses of up to £400, while people those in North Yorkshire are being given £150 in the form of supermarket vouchers
