A man who threw a six-year-old boy off a balcony in the Tate Modern has been jailed for attacking two nurses.
Jonty Bravery was found guilty of assaulting two nurses after he kicked one in the thigh and "clawed" at the face of another, leaving her with blood dripping down her cheek, at Broadmoor Hospital in September 2024.
Bravery declined to attend his trial at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in November.
The 24-year-old was previously handed a life sentence for hurling a French boy from Tate Modern’s 10th-storey balcony in 2019 and is now being held at Broadmoor, a high-security psychiatric hospital, in Berkshire.

The boy survived the 100ft fall from the 10th floor balcony of London museum but suffered life-changing injuries, including a bleed on the brain and multiple broken bones.
His trial for assaulting the nurses heard how Bravery has to be monitored by three members of staff "24 hours a day, seven days a week", and is kept in a room with only a mattress in it.
The court heard how the nurses had been trying to stop Bravery from climbing a ledge to throw himself from it.
Sentencing him on Thursday, Chief Magistrate Paul Goldspring, who found Bravery guilty of two counts of assault, said that those who "care" for Bravery were the targets of his assaults.

The 16-week sentence will run concurrently with his 15-year minimum term. Bravery refused to appear at today's sentencing hearing via video link.
One of the victims told the court it was the first time she had been attacked at Broadmoor in her long career.
In 2020, Bravery was handed another 14-week jail sentence after admitting attacking Broadmoor Hospital staff.
He punched a nursing assistant in the head and face before pulling her hair, and bit a rehabilitation therapist assistant on his finger after he came to his colleague’s aid.

| GETTYAt today's hearing, the judge said it is "very unlikely" that Bravery will be deemed safe for release at the end of the 15-year term, "unless something significant changes."
At his initial sentencing hearing in June 2020 at the Old Bailey, the court heard how Bravery intended to kill the boy and laughed after the incident.
In an update posted to a fundraiser aimed to raise money for the boy in October, the family said he continues to improve cognitively and physically, gaining endurance, general knowledge, and better body awareness thanks to therapy.
He is due to have a procedure at some point this year will leave him immobilised for two months, the family said.
