The surge in sign-ups has been matched by a huge rise in the number of people taking part in special daily polls

More than 50,000 people have signed up to become Friends of GB News in less than four weeks in yet another boost for the UK's number one news channel.

Thousands of people have been joining Britain's most lively community every day since the mid-November launch, uniting people who stand for this country, its voices and its values.

The biggest single day for growth so far came on November 26, when GB News’ leading Budget coverage saw 4.3k new Friends join. That was an all-time record for new registrations, which saw a 69 per cent week-on-week increase at launch, delivering more than 20k sign-ups in just seven days.

Commenting on the initial success of the campaign, Elysse Jones, Interim Head of Community and Growth at GB News, said: "The early response has been incredibly encouraging, and we’re delighted to welcome each and every new Friend into the GB News Community.

"Friends of GB News is a cornerstone of our long-term strategy, particularly in a media landscape where audiences want to feel heard, not lectured to.

"It is putting the power back in the hands of the people, and we look forward to welcoming more and more Friends into our community very soon."

The surge in sign-ups has been matched by a huge rise in the number of people taking part in special daily polls.

This week, a staggering 25,000 people took part in a snap poll which featured on Dewbs and Co.
