Residents in Nottingham have woken up with shock after discovering a sign outisde a vape shop that supposedly encourages children to make purchases of the e-cigarettes.
A sign was placed above TechXVape in Retford, Bassetlaw District in Nottinghamshire that read: "We Sell Vapes to Kids - No I.D.? No Problem!"
The sign has been met with a furious backlash from residents, who have called for the shop to be closed down.
A spokesperson from the shop has denied that they put the sign up, claiming it mysteriously appeared overnight.

It comes as earlier this week the Prime Minister announced that disposable vapes would be banned, with new powers being brought in to restrict vape flavours.
Part of the sign has now been covered up with newspaper. Bassetlaw District Council has confirmed that they are looking into the sign.
Councillor Susan Shaw told GB News: "We know that you cannot sell vapes to children. We agree that it is illegal.
"The district council is looking into this immediately and we will be issuing a response as soon as possible. We don't quite know what happened. But we are looking urgently into it."

A spokesperson from the shop told GB News that they do not know who put the sign up and are investigating.
They said: "We have never sold vapes to children. The sign went up last night. The police are going to get involved and we will be taking the sign down as soon as possible."
The sign was met with backlash on social media, with parents calling on the shop to close down.
One person said: "How is this allowed. Surely there are laws concerning this." Another added: "The sooner disposable vapes are banned the better. The council allow these shops on the High Street. There are more than enough vape shops in town."

Cabinet member for health & wellbeing at Bassetlaw District Council Lynne Schuller told GB News: "I am at a loss. We clearly do not know the long term effects of vaping on young people.
"We have legislation in place banning disposable vapes to young people.
"We are looking to get a legal response and dealing with it then. I am looking to get recorse through trading standards over this weekend. But we are looking into this as a matter of urgency."
