Nigel Farage has blasted London Mayor Sadiq Khan after he announced a "black culture event" to take place in Trafalgar Square in September.
The GB News presenter discussed the event yesterday evening, calling the event “horribly, horribly divisive”.
Farage said that if somebody tried to organise a white culture day, it would be heavily criticised by Khan himself.
“What if somebody tried to organise a white culture day, an English culture day?” he questioned.
“It would be absolutely condemned and decried by none other than Sadiq Khan.”
The presenter also accused Khan of hampering to identity politics in order to win favour with black voters ahead of the upcoming election.
“You can see what’s happening, there’s an election coming up next year and he’s playing to identity politics,” Farage stated.
The new festival was announced by the Mayor last week, with its aim being to showcase Black culture and creativity.
The festival, called Black on the Square, will take place on Trafalgar Square on September 2.
Black on the Square will feature a range of cultural performers and artists across the day.
“This inaugural event will showcase the breadth of London’s Black cultural and creative talent with art and fashion appearing alongside captivating musical performers encompassing jazz, spoken word, freestyle rap and soul,” according to the Mayor.
The one-day festival will also showcase a range of black-owned businesses for guests to explore and purchase from.
It will “include vendors representing a range of Black-owned businesses, including delicious food from the Caribbean and Africa, as well as artisan goods ranging from customised accessories to handmade homeware and gifts”.

The event comes after Khan’s manifesto pledge to develop a public event which celebrate Black culture and creativity.
It is hoped the festival will be a success and that it will become a regular feature in London’s calendar of cultural events.
The mayor, who Farage said “was not exactly a favourite of many on this channel”, was optimistic about the festival’s success.
“Black on the Square is a fantastic addition to our capital’s cultural calendar,” he added.
Farage discussed the new festival as part of his “What the Farage” segment of his show.
Upon hearing of the festival, Farage expressed his shock: “I couldn’t believe this over the weekend.”
Farage called the festival “bad news”.
