The trial continues and is due to last four days

An Afghan national asylum seeker has appeared in court for allegedly threatening to kill Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, after posting a video on TikTok in October last year.

Fayaz Khan, 26, previously pleaded not guilty at Westminster Magistrates Court, where he was remanded in custody.

Khan, known as Mada Pasa on TikTok, wore grey prison tracksuits and grey trainers.

His face tattoo was visible to the court, along with others on his neck and hands.

The defendant spoke only to confirm his name and communicated through an Afghan translator.

The prosecution outlined how Nigel Farage posted a YouTube video on October 12, which included a collection of Mada Pasa’s TikTok videos, documenting his journey from Stockholm to the UK on a small boat.

In one of the videos, someone was seen holding a pistol.

Three days later, the court was told that Mada Pasa responded to Mr Farage’s YouTube video on TikTok.

The prosecutor, Peter Ratcliff, alleges it included a threat to kill.

In the TikTok, posted on October 15, Khan said: "English man Nigel… you do not know me… don't talk s**t about me… I come to England because I want to marry your sister.

"I want to come to England to go pop pop pop." He made gun signals with his hand and head-bashed the screen.

Nigel Farage spoke in court, where he told the jury he found the video "pretty chilling".

The leader of Reform UK said: "Given his proximity to guns, I was genuinely, genuinely worried."

He said he understood that Khan "was coming to England and he was going to shoot me".

Speaking about Khan’s reference about wanting to "marry" his sister, Mr Farage said it was "perfectly clear this was a deeply misogynistic individual".

The defence asked if he thought it was a joke, to which Mr Farage said: "Absolutely not".

The prosecution told the court how Mr Khan had a video on his phone at the time of his arrest of a GB News presenter talking about Nigel Farage's video of him.

In the video, he had edited the words ‘Madapasa battalion v UK’ and ‘I Mean what I say’ when the unnamed GB News presenter was talking about his alleged threats to kill.

The trial continues and is due to last four days.
