Council noise officers have received numerous complaints about sexual activity disturbing residents across the UK.
The disturbances included moaning, groaning, banging of the headboard, and squeaky bedsprings that prevented neighbours from sleeping.
Those found responsible for excessive sexual noise face potential penalties.

Councils can issue fines of up to £110 to residents who breach noise regulations.
More serious cases may result in court action against the offending parties.
At least 100 complaints were made to councils within a year about loud lovemaking disturbing neighbours.
A Freedom of Information survey revealed that 30 councils recorded 98 complaints about sexual noise from neighbours, although the actual figure is likely much higher as most councils could not provide specific numbers.

One frustrated resident in Islington, North London, reported to the council that neighbours "were making sex noises through the night and the bed was making creaking and banging noises as well".
In Telford, Shropshire, a complainant said their neighbours' headboard repeatedly struck the wall. Meanwhile, a Kingston resident in South West London described the couple next door as "having the loudest sex imaginable".
