A man has been jailed after terrorising his neighbours with smoke bombs and eggs in a dispute that erupted over the family's pet dog.
Andrew Wilson of Lichfield launched a campaign of harassment against his neighbours simply because they played with their dog in their garden, according to Staffordshire Police.
The man, branded a "nightmare neighbour" by officers, threw eggs at the property and put smoke bombs through the family's letterbox as part of his vendetta.
Wilson's actions escalated from his initial displeasure at seeing the neighbours enjoying time with their pet in their own garden, Stafford Crown Court heard during his sentencing.

The 53-year-old's harassment campaign included cutting off the family's internet access and threatening them with a baseball bat.
Wilson's behaviour formed part of an ongoing dispute with his neighbours, with police detailing how he had "taken a dislike to the neighbour merely because they had a dog who they would play with in the garden."
When officers arrested Wilson, they discovered indecent images of children on a device in his possession.
He subsequently admitted two counts of stalking involving alarm and distress, along with three counts of making indecent photographs of a child relating to category A, B and C images.
