The couple said their neighbour's parking habits 'interrupt our couple's energy'

A homeowner has spoken out after his loved-up neighbours left a note on his car requesting "not to park between us".

The motorist accused the couple of trying to "dictate" where he parks after discovering the bizarre handwritten letter.

He posted a photo of the note to Reddit, saying: "My neighbours left this on my car yesterday."

The note reads: "Hello. We understand convenience is amazing but could you possibly not park in between us?

"It interrupts our couple energy. We def don’t mind you taking the corner spot or end spot. Peace and love."

The couple signed their names, which were edited out of the photo, along with the model of cars they drive, at the bottom of the letter.

The Reddit user explained that he had parked next to one of their cars while he worked from home "for a couple of days".

He added: "They’re trying to dictate where I should park based on their preference of parking next to one at all times for their 'couple energy.' Hope that helps."

One person branded the complaint "ridiculous".

They commented: "Why are they leaving an empty spot between their cars? This is ridiculous."

Another wrote: "Why don’t they park next to each other?

"You’re just supposed to leave an empty parking space so the cars can hold hands?"

"I would always park there until the end of time," a third person commented.

Others came to the couple's defence, as one person advised the man should "just be neighbourly".

The Reddit user commented: "At least they asked politely.

"Maybe visit with them and discuss a parking solution.

"They could park closer together so you have space to park, plus it gives you stability knowing you don't have to fight them for a spot. Just be neighbourly."

Another said the homeowner should "let them enjoy their couple's energy".

They wrote: "If it makes them happy and doesn't inconvenience me.

"I'd grab the other spot. Can't hurt anyone to be nice."
