A shopkeeper has scooped up a huge cash prize from The National Lottery and has revealed the first thing she plans to spend her winnings on.
Amy Fowler, from Middlesbrough, collected a prize that rewards retailers for their hard work.
Fowler owns Arncliffe Stores, an off-licence on West Lane. She and hundreds of other store owners who sell the National Lottery were entered into a draw by Allwyn, the lottery operator.
The draw was part of the company’s retailers incentives programme, which awards The National Lottery retailers who have consistently high standards.

In order to be entered into the draw, shopkeepers must ensure that their display is kept spick and span, with scratchcards kept organised and payslips stacked up.
Every store is assessed by the operator, which then awards those that achieve high scores.
Fowler, who won £10,000 in the draw, has said that the draw made her feel “appreciated for the hard work”.
She said: “I was overjoyed when I found out I’d won and couldn’t believe it. It was an amazing feeling!”

Fowler revealed that she will be using off the winnings to pay off some of her mortgage and has called the prize a “massive help”.
"Being rewarded this way by Allwyn gives shopkeepers a chance to feel appreciated for the work we do.”
Other lucky winners bagged a sizeable £1,000, which was given to 10 shopkeepers, meaning Allywn dished out £20,000 in total.
Head of field sales, Karl Southworth, said: “Congratulations to this quarter’s prize winners, and thank you for making sure you’re maximising sales on National Lottery products through keeping high in-store standards.
"Every ticket and Scratchcard you sell goes towards the £30million raised each week for National Lottery Good Causes.”
In March, another winner of the incentives programme revealed that she will use the cash to pay for elderly customers to go to afternoon tea.

PARanmal Punja Odera - a shopkeeper at Smokers Paradise newsagents in Billericay - won £1,000 from Allwyn.
Odera said: “My husband and I are big charity people and that’s why we always make sure we do everything to maximise National Lottery sales and our shop’s contributions to National Lottery Good Causes.
“I worked for the NHS for years, and now I support the community and our customers.
“I often take our elderly customers out for brunch and dinner, so I will use the money to treat them to a nice afternoon tea and also give a little to a charity.
“Then the rest could go towards a holiday.”
