The woman was body shamed online after taking home the cash

A Glasgow mother who secured a life-changing lottery prize has become the target of online harassment who ridicule both her physical appearance and newfound fortune.

Olivia Love, 36, claimed £10,000 monthly payments for 12 months in a Set For Life draw last month, transforming her family's financial circumstances overnight.

The mother-of-four has since left her supermarket position and established herself as a wedding content creator whilst documenting her lottery winning journey across social media.

However, her public celebration of the victory has attracted cruel commentary, particularly from men online who have labelled her "embarrassing" and subjected her to body shaming attacks.

Prior to her lottery success, Love struggled financially whilst working at a supermarket customer service desk, earning merely £800 monthly.

She relied on Universal Credit to manage childcare expenses of £1,800 per month and worried constantly about council tax payments.

The winning ticket came from six lucky dips purchased at £1.50 each through the lottery app, with one matching five main numbers in the 16 May draw.

Her tax-free prize totalling £120,000 has enabled her to employ domestic help including a cleaner and gardener.

Love's husband Kevin shared in the windfall, which has allowed the family to purchase a new car.

However, the harassment online has predominantly originated from male social media users.

Love disclosed on her TikTok account that critics had expressed hopes she will lose everything once her twelve-month prize period concludes.

"Almost every hateful comment I get comes from men," she stated in a video addressing the backlash.

She questioned whether male lottery winners would face similar criticism, adding: "If a man posted this win, would you call him embarrassing? Or would it be inspiring?"

The Glasgow mother suggested that certain men struggle to accept women achieving financial independence and sharing their accomplishments publicly.

Despite the backlash, Love remains determined to share her lottery journey without apology.

"I'm not here to be small, quiet or even easy to digest. I'm here because I earned this," she declared in response to critics.

She expressed gratitude for female supporters who have countered the negativity with encouragement and celebration.

"Thank you to every kind woman that showed up," she said, acknowledging those who reminded her that her victory represents "joy and freedom and sharing moments that matter."

The lottery winner emphasised that uncomfortable reactions from detractors won't deter her from documenting her transformed circumstances.
