National Lottery players set deadline to claim life-changing prizes

The first winner has merely five weeks remaining to collect their prize, with the cut-off date set for November 20.

This particular windfall stems from a Lotto draw held on May 24, where a single player successfully matched five main numbers alongside the bonus ball.

The second unclaimed fortune comes from a EuroMillions Millionaire Maker draw that took place on August 15.

However, this winner has considerably more breathing room with a February deadline.

The first millionaire was first urged to come forward following a May draw when ticket number nine, 12, 13, 26, 38 and 40 were selected.

The bonus ball plucked out was the number four.

Winners typically have 180 days to stake their claim before funds are redirected to the National Lottery's Community Fund.

The organisation maintains comprehensive guidance on its website for potential winners uncertain about the claiming procedure.

Currently, these Birmingham tickets represent the only two outstanding major prizes awaiting collection.

The August EuroMillions Millionaire Maker victor has until February 11 to come forward and secure their seven-figure reward.

But both Birmingham-purchased tickets represent life-altering sums that will otherwise be absorbed into charitable causes through the Community Fund if left uncollected.

The National Lottery website features detailed instructions for prize collection alongside a comprehensive list of all outstanding winnings.

These two Birmingham millionaires stand alone as the sole major unclaimed rewards at present.

The lottery operator allocates roughly half a year for winners to present themselves before redistributing uncollected prizes to benefit community projects across the nation.

However, recent weeks have witnessed remarkable fortune for British EuroMillions participants.

Multiple jackpot victories have been recorded, including a UK ticketholder securing £25,701,358 on October 10.

The lucky player matched every number, marking Britain's fourth EuroMillions triumph this year.

Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: "Wow, it's been an exciting night for EuroMillions players, as a single UK ticket-holder has landed the amazing £25million jackpot!

"That's two UK EuroMillions jackpot wins in the space of a week, after another lucky player scooped the incredible £26million jackpot in last Friday's draw."

Previous British victories this year included £26million on October 3, £65million on Valentine's Day and £83million in January.

Lotto draws occur each Wednesday and Saturday.

Meanwhile, the EuroMillions draw takes place on Tuesdays and Fridays.
