Eamonn Holmes said Lewinsky 'has a great sense of humour'

Eamonn Holmes has revealed that he once made a very cheeky quip to political figure Monica Lewinsky and that she "burst out laughing".
In 1998, news broke that Lewinsky was having an affair with US President Bill Clinton.
The scandal was huge at the time, with the events leading to the president being impeached.
Speaking on GB News today, host Eamonn Holmes recalled a joke that he once made whilst interviewing Lewinsky how she indulged it with her "great sense of humour".

Eamonn said: "I did Monica Lewinsky's first live interview in in the UK about Bill Clinton.
"And I made a comment about Clinton and she said 'You know the president, Do you?'
"I said, actually, I have met him on a number of occasions. But unlike you, I only shook his hand. And she burst out laughing. Monica Lewinsky is a very impressive individual."
The former White House intern made headlines again this week after the women's fashion house Reformation chose her to lead the company's latest voting campaign.

"And had there been social media at the time, she would be trolled and trolled, for her to come out laughing is fantastic."

"But the front page says 'How Monica Lewinsky got her life back. She was shamed at 22, a feminist icon at 50.
"She was 22, that shouldn't happened."
Holmes added: "She looks like a completely different person. She is in business doing Ted Talks and that sort of thing now.
"She is a very impressive individual."
