Just miles from the French coast, 'asylum seekers' were told of Sir Keir Starmer's pledge

GB News host Patrick Christys has released previously unseen footage from his bombshell trip to migrant camps in France in which he told "asylum seekers" about Sir Keir Starmer's vow to deport them.

The presenter conducted a covert operation examining illegal Channel crossings from Calais - and confronted individuals suspected of people-smugglers.

His investigation took him to migrant camps just miles from the French coast where he questioned residents about their concerns over making the trip to Britain.

He approached people in the camp asking: "Are you scared about crossing the Channel?"

Patrick Christys posed a direct question about UK Government policy

He also asked: "Our Prime Minister says he is going to deport you... Are you worried about that?"

But responses were minimal, with most individuals avoiding engagement with the filming crew.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

One person appeared unwilling to appear on camera, while others chose to completely disregard the presenter's attempts at conversation.

The investigation formed part of a broader examination by GB News into the scale of illegal entries into Britain.

During his investigation, the 33-year-old presenter adopted the persona of a Vietnamese migrant seeking passage across the English Channel.

By going undercover, Patrick established contact with suspected smugglers - who initially communicated with him in English.

The operation revealed how Patrick successfully arranged a face-to-face encounter with an alleged trafficker.

After swapping messages online, the presenter travelled to France to collect additional evidence which he promised to send on to French law enforcement.

The meeting took an unexpected turn when the suspected smuggler, who emerged from nearby bushes at the agreed location, became visibly alarmed upon seeing cameras.

Nigel Farage has praised Patrick's efforts - and the considerable risks involved.

Numerous traffickers now carry firearms, Farage added, and referenced two killings in similar camps within the past month.

He also said Patrick's move to directly confront a trafficker was either exceptionally courageous or reckless - or both.
