GB News star Martin Daubney has blasted Labour after a second migrant returned to the UK by small boat following deportation under Labour’s “one in, one out” scheme, describing it as the "final insult" on Remembrance Sunday.
The unnamed individual, who crossed the Channel yesterday, comes just days after the first deported migrant, an Iranian man, was finally removed from Britain for a second time following a back-and-forth.
Martin highlighted the flaws in the policy, saying that the scheme was meant to act as a deterrent, to make it clear that anyone entering the UK illegally would be sent back, but instead, deported migrants are simply returning, making the whole process “completely impotent”.
Speaking on The People's Channel, Martin said: "Another migrant previously deported under the UK-France Returns Agreement has re-entered the UK on a dinghy.

"The individual was one of 400 small boat migrants picked up by Border Force on Remembrance Sunday, of all days. The final insult.”
Human rights lawyer Mahtab Aziz agreed: "Yes, I mean, the one-in, one-out scheme apparently isn’t working, and it needs to be changed if we’re to enforce the borders and allow only those who are genuinely asylum seekers.

Martin fumed: “Because the whole point of this deal was that it was meant to be a deterrent. It was meant to say, if you come to the United Kingdom illegally, you will be sent back.
"Quite apart from the fact that I believe only 94 returns have happened so far. And of course, for every one that goes, we have to take one back.
"The French get to choose who they take and who we get. It’s already a one-sided deal. More to the point, it’s impotent.
"We now have people being shipped out, deciding they don’t like France, and simply coming straight back in. What’s the point?”

"I think perhaps the Government ought to put its efforts more into discouraging the actual smugglers doing more to prevent them from bringing these migrants to our shores."
Martin said: "That sounds like the Government’s so-called ‘smash the gangs’ strategy.”
Under the terms of the scheme, the UK has removed 94 migrants, while a further 57 have been brought into the country by the French.
MORE ON THE MIGRANT CRISIS
Since the treaty came into force, the Home Office has recorded 17,958 confirmed arrivals across the Channel.
The first case involved an Iranian man who arrived on August 6, the day the deal with France began, and was deported on September 19.
He later slipped out of a migrant shelter in Paris and returned to the northern French coast.
On October 18, he re-entered Britain on a small boat before being removed again on November 5.
