Watch the moment a huge row kicks off on the People’s Channel as Matt Goodwin brutally grills Labour Councillor Sebastian Salek.
Mr Salek, who is a Labour Councillor in Waltham Forest, argued the Government has achieved something unprecedented in tackling the migrant crisis by “getting round the table” with France.
He also argued that the asylum backlog coming down is a “crucial” element in showing how Labour is dealing with the migrant crisis.
“Why is it coming down?”, Matt probed, to which Mr Salek countered: “Because the rate of processing has increased drastically.”

The pollster and GB News presenter told him to “be clear to the people” before saying “up to two thirds of illegal migrants and asylum seekers are having their claims approved”.
“We are a soft touch”, he added. “If you look at the average levels of illegal migration into this country, by the time of the next election, another 181,000 illegal migrants will have come into this country via small boats.”

Mr Salek said Matt was “in luck” because none of the major political parties are in favour of the trend continuing.
But the GB News star begged to differ as he claimed Labour has effectively “decriminalised” breaking into the country illegally.
“Labour has struck a deal with France that nobody could do, the Tories couldn’t even get them around the table and nobody else has come up with a credible solution”, Mr Salek hit back.
Matt quickly responded with a four-point plan he thinks would see an end to the migrant crisis.
“Leave the European Convention on Human Rights, reform the Human Rights Act and process offshore”, he said.
“Immediately detain and deport all illegal migrants, put them on an island away from the British people and don’t insult the British people by putting them in the heart of their communities, next to families, next to schools.”

Matt said Labour Governments of the past, including the one led by Clement Attlee, would be “appalled” by the actions of Sir Keir Starmer and co.
“They’re radical progressives and they would rather put illegal immigrants ahead of their own people”, he fumed.
“That’s pure talk. How do you stand that up? That’s rubbish”, Mr Salek hit back.
Matt said Labour is using the British taxpayers’ money to bankroll migrants being given more favourable housing contracts than Britons.
“How is that right? How do you explain that?”, Matt probed.
The pair clashed ahead of a fresh wave of protests outside hotels used as temporary accommodation for asylum seekers.
New figures showed there were more than 32,000 asylum seekers in hotels, a rise of eight per cent during Labour’s first year in office.
Counter protests are set to be held by Stand Up to Racism with Bournemouth, Cardiff and Leeds among the locations marked as potential flashpoints.
