Michael Knowles has hit out at gender ideology, demanding its eradication “for the good of society”.

He told Mark Dolan that it must be “eradicated completely” in a scathing assessment.

“What the left believes is that lies are comforting, they’re strengthening, and the truth is very evil and depressive, but I don’t believe that”, he said.

“I believe that the truth will set you free, call me old fashioned.

“This ideology, the radical gender ideology, must be eradicated from public life entirely.

“It harms everyone involved. There was a large study that looked at the effects of the transgender procedure, does it actually work to alleviate feelings of dysphoria?

“They don’t. In fact, not only do they not make these conditions better, they make the conditions worse.

“In medical science, we’re supposed to follow the evidence, the evidence is clear here.

It was revealed last month that children will not be banned from changing their gender identity in schools in an apparent climbdown from Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

It comes amid suggestions Rishi Sunak is set to make radical changes to equality law that would stop pupils from being allowed to adopt new pronouns in class.

A government spokesman said: “The Education Secretary is working closely with the equalities minister to provide guidance to schools and colleges.

“Given the complexity and sensitivity of the issue, we're taking the time to make sure any guidance we provide is as clear as possible.”

The issue has become rife in the culture wars with iconic author JK Rowling wading in on the debate to much controversy.

She admitted that she would “happily” do prison time rather than refer to transgender women as “women”.
