Emergency services attended the scene at the car park roof

A man has died after he fell from a roof at Manchester Airport.

Emergency services were called to a car park near Terminal 1 at the airport.


An investigation has been launched however the man's death is not being treated as suspicious, reports the Manchester Evening News.

There were no delays to any flights coming in and out of the airport.

A spokesman from Greater Manchester Police confirmed emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.30pm yesterday afternoon to a report of a concern for a man's welfare.

The man has not been identified and there has been no age provided.

A spokesperson for Manchester Airport confirmed it was working alongside Greater Manchester Police.

A statement issued yesterday by Greater Manchester Police said: "We are currently responding to a concern for welfare incident at a car park at Manchester Airport.

"There is no wider risk to the public and officers and colleagues from other emergency services are on the scene."
