Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has been branded "disingenuous" by FairCop founder Harry Miller, following the Labour leader's response to Lucy Connolly's appeal dismissal.
The wife of former Tory Councillor Raymond Connolly had her 31-month sentence upheld by the court after being jailed in late 2024 over a social media post.
The post was triggered by the Southport murders of last summer, where Connolly suggested that hotels housing asylum seekers should be "set on fire".
Reacting to the decision today, Keir Starmer said he is "strongly in favour of free speech", but is "equally against incitement to violence against other people".

Delivering his verdict on the Prime Minister's reaction to the case, Harry Miller told GB News that Starmer is "disingenuous" and "dishonest" in his response.
Miller fumed: "If he wasn't so serious, it'd be utterly laughable, wouldn't it? Of course he's aware of this case, he's the guy that instigated this case when he demonised everybody who had the temerity to be shocked and horrified by the murder of three young children last summer, so that is entirely disingenuous.
"It's entirely dishonest, but this is what happens when you put a little man into a big job."
Highlighting the Prime Minister's newly agreed deal with the EU, Miller added that the Labour leader "does not have the pips to go into Europe and fight for the British people".

He added: "Like all little men, what he does, he turns his attention and his anger and his lack of self-worth and ability onto his own domestic people, in this case a woman, the wife of a Tory councillor who simply expressed outrage.
"The outrage that was being expressed in every pub in the country, the outrage that was being expressed over every single dinner table."
Criticising Britain's judiciary system, Miller claimed that the judges are being "led by Keir Starmer" in a "judicial democracy".
Miller told GB News: "What he did was he incited the police and he cited the judiciary to go after such people for having the temerity for speaking their mind. What we have is a judicial democracy led by Keir Starmer, who is leading his old buddies in the CPS and who are wearing the wig, and he is waging a war against ordinary men and women. This is absolutely despicable.

"You can't believe anything that Keir Starmer says when he says 'I don't know anything about the details of this case'. He's the only person in Britain who doesn't really. Of course he does, he's lying, it's as simple as that. Of course he knows."
Echoing Connolly's husband's claim that the system "wanted to make an example" of Connolly, Miller stated that she is simply a "political prisoner" in this case.
Miller concluded: "You can groom children, you can rob and get off with a slap wrist and a warning, but the second that you make a political statement, then you incite the ire of this judicial democracy that we've got.
"That is an absolute travesty. She's a political prisoner, a straight up political prisoner."
