Police across Britain will increase its visibility in Jewish communities ahead of Hanukkah events over the next week in the wake of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack, it has been confirmed.
Some 11 people are confirmed to have died in the massacre, which is being treated as a terrorist incident, while a further 29 people suffered injuries, which includes a child and two police officers.
One of the gunmen was killed, while another remains in a serious condition. He has since been identified as Naveed Akmar.
New South Wales Premier Chris Minns said the shooting was "designed to target Sydney's Jewish community" and described it as a "horrifying, evil attack".

It took place on Hanukkah, also known as Chanukah, which is an eight-day Jewish festival of light usually celebrated in December.
In response, the London Mayor confirmed Scotland Yard will increase visibility during the Jewish festive period, amid concerns over growing violence against the community.
In a post on X, Sir Sadiq Khan said: "My thoughts and condolences – along with the rest of London – are with everyone affected by the horrific attack at Bondi Beach, Australia today.
"The Met Police are increasing their visibility in our Jewish communities ahead of any Chanukah events."

The Met also confirmed officers would be upping their presence around the community, describing the recent deadly attack as "terrible".
"While the details of the incident continue to emerge, the Australian authorities have now confirmed that the target was a Hanukkah gathering taking place on Bondi Beach," the statement read.
"It is an awful reality that Jewish communities across the world continue to face a higher level of threat.
"At a time when London’s Jewish communities are coming together to begin the celebration of Hannukkah, we know this attack will be the cause of not just terrible upset but also significant heightened concern about safety.

| GETTY"We were already working closely with partners, including the Community Security Trust, to provide an increased presence around synagogues and other community venues at this important time.
"While there is no information to suggest any link between the attack in Sydney and the threat level in London, this morning we are stepping up our police presence, carrying out additional community patrols and engaging with the Jewish community to understand what more we can do in the coming hours and days.
"We always encourage the public to be vigilant at events and in public places. If you see anything suspicious, trust your instincts and tell us."
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said that the attack shows that the "threat to the Jewish people is everywhere".
"It's not just in Manchester or parts of north London, it's all over the world," he said.
Mr Farage's comments reference the recent terror attack outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, where two people were killed.
In October, Jihad Al-Shamie, a Syrian man who relocated to the UK as a child in 2006, drove his car into pedestrians before going on a stabbing spree at the synagogue.
Al-Shamie, 35, was shot and killed by police after ringing 999 during his deadly rampage.
