Newly released videos and photos have revealed the final moments of Jay Slater before his death in Tenerife last summer.

The 19-year-old from Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire, disappeared on the Spanish island in June 2024, sparking a major manhunt before his body was discovered around a month later.

The footage, made public following the inquest into his death, shows Slater in his last known moments before vanishing after a night at the NRG music festival.

Slater had been partying at the Papagayo nightclub in Playa de las Americas on June 16 last year.

Early the next morning, he travelled to a remote Airbnb with two British men, including convicted drug dealer Ayub Qassim, 31, and Steven Roccas.

In one of the newly released clips, Slater appears to brag about stealing an expensive watch.

A two-second video sent from his phone to friends shows him claiming: "Just took a 12k rolly of some c*** wi this Mali kid off to get 10quid for it now haha off my undies."

The message was sent shortly before 6am on the day of his disappearance.

A second Snapchat message from the car journey, sent around the same time, read: "Yes cuz ended up getting thrown out of there me with two maili kids just took an AP off some c*** on way to sell it for 10 quid."

The videos appear to show Slater travelling in the back of a car to the remote village of Masca after attending a rave earlier in the evening.

After arriving at the Airbnb, Slater sent a 13-second clip at 7am showing himself smoking a cigarette outside the villa.

At 7.08am, he sent what would be his final video - a seven-second clip showing mountains outside the property.

During an inquest, it was revealed that Slater had drugs in his system at the time of his death

Slater was reported missing on June 18. Following an extensive search operation, his body was discovered on July 15, 2024, by a mountain rescue team from the Spanish Civil Guard.

The remains were found in a "steep and inaccessible area" near the village of Masca, the same remote location where he had sent his final videos after being driven there by Qassim and Roccas.

During the inquest at Preston Coroner's Court, it was revealed that Slater had drugs in his system at the time of his death.

The hearing was told that extensive efforts had been made to secure the attendance of several witnesses who were in contact with Slater before his disappearance, including issuing summonses.

However, the two British men who had rented the Airbnb - convicted drug dealer Ayub Qassim and Steven Roccas (previously known as 'Rocky') - failed to attend the proceedings.
