One man has been left injured after two men were shot at Handsworth, Birmingham.
The incident occurred near Heathfield Primary School on Heathfield Road in the early hours of this morning.
Paramedics attended the scene, treating the man who suffered a gunshot wound in his leg.
Police immediately sealed off the surrounding area, which has been reopened since 10.30am.
West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after a man was injured after shots were fired at two men in Heathfield Road, Handsworth in the early hours of today (Monday).
"We were alerted by ambulance colleagues at around 2.30am to a man in his 20s who had suffered a gunshot wound.
"The man was treated and taken to hospital by paramedics with an injury to his leg which is not believed to be life-threatening."
The force confirmed that CCTV footage has been obtained and is being "reviewed".

The second man who was shot at was not injured.
West Midlands Police added: "We know incidents like this can be concerning and there will be officers in the area as the investigation progresses as well as to offer reassurance to the community.

West Midlands Police has appealed for information
PAAn urgent hunt has also been launched in Nottinghamshire for a man who exposed himself to two children.
The incident occurred on March 23, 2025, with the suspect reportedly flashing in front of the children in broad daylight.
Authorities have now released CCTV footage of the man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.
The police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying the individual.
