GB News has smashed through another major milestone by clocking up over four million followers on TikTok.

Content from Britain’s number one news channel has now been viewed on TikTok more than 440 million times so far in 2026 alone.

Commenting on the figures, Carl Bennett, Head of New Platforms, said: “We are really pleased to see the massive growth and look forward to securing even more new followers as the year unfolds on TikTok and all other channels.

“TikTok has become a go-to destination for our best on-air moments, as well as eye-catching original content. From breaking news to insightful, respectful debate to exclusives that are the envy of our rivals, our TikTok channel is now a great place to find and engage with our fearless and bold journalism.

“We have ambitious plans to go further with new offerings that will increase and deepen our reach further still.”

The rapid growth on TikTok sits alongside GB News’ continued outstanding performance across television and radio, reinforcing its position as one of the UK’s most dynamic and fastest-growing news brands.

Latest BARB data shows GB News was Britain’s number one news channel from July 2025 through to the end of January, ahead of both the BBC News Channel and Sky News.

Over that period, The People’s Channel secured 88,528 average viewers, comfortably outperforming the BBC News Channel on 79,305 and leaving Sky News a distant third on 67,408.

GB News achieved a 1.42 audience share across the same timeframe, exceeding the BBC News Channel’s 1.27 and Sky News’ 1.08, further cementing its status as the UK’s most-watched news channel.

The momentum extends beyond television. GB News Radio has outperformed all its network rivals, securing the highest year-on-year audience growth in the latest RAJAR figures.

The number of listeners tuning into GB News Radio rose sharply from 468,000 in Q4 2024 to 672,000 in Q4 2025, representing a 44 per cent increase in just 12 months.

This annual audience growth is more than twelve times higher than LBC, almost ten times higher than BBC Radio Four, and over three times larger than Talk, highlighting the strength of the station’s programming and the growing loyalty of its listeners.

Listening hours have also increased significantly, rising 33 per cent year-on-year. This underlines not only a larger audience for GB News Radio but deeper engagement, with listeners spending more time tuned in.

Several individual programmes delivered exceptional performances, with some shows recording audience growth of more than 100 per cent year-on-year, reflecting the continued resonance of GB News’ presenters and editorial voice.

Across television, radio and digital platforms, GB News continues to expand its reach and influence.

The milestone of four million TikTok followers and 440 million views in 2026 so far marks another step in the channel’s rapid evolution, as it connects with new audiences while consolidating its leadership in traditional broadcasting.
