The son of the US President spoke to GB News about his own battle with having his speech stifled

Eric Trump has warned the UK about the dangers of free speech being weaponised, drawing on his own experiences in the US.

“I can watch what’s happening over there, and it is seriously dangerous and incredibly worrisome,” he told Nigel Farage on GB News.

“The path the UK is going down on free speech, I hate to see it. It’s a dangerous road.”

The son of the US President appeared on The People’s Channel to discuss his new book, Under Siege: My Family's Fight to Save Our Nation, which is expected to hit UK shelves in early November.

He told Nigel: “My father and I have been under siege for years.

“They came after us with everything they had. They tried to cancel us, silence us, bankrupt us, and even kill my father.

“I became the most subpoenaed person in American history for never doing a damn thing wrong,” he added, “we love America, we love freedom, and we wanted to fight for the greatness of our country."

“It’s a story of human resilience on an incredible scale,” he added.

Mr Trump said the book captures his personal battle running the Trump Organization under constant attack.

“At any point, my father could have stepped aside. But we refused. We fought,” he said.

He concluded: “It was the greatest political victory of modern times, and I could not be more proud of the guy.”

The book, announced in September, details the family’s political and legal battles in the United States.

Donald Trump praised the memoir on Instagram, writing: “Don’t forget to get a copy of my son Eric’s book, UNDER SIEGE, which is breaking records everywhere.

"It’s a phenomenal book, that’s a must read for everyone—Congratulations Eric, you deserve it!!!”

Following the shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, Eric said a portion of proceeds would go to Turning Point USA.

Nigel also asked Mr Trump his views on Keir Starmer recognising Palestine as a state.

The son of the US President explained that he does not comment on moves by political leaders, but stated he is very proud of his father.

He said: "I have grown up a lot in politics and I realise that I no longer have a position to comment on leaders of other countries.

"My father has spearheaded the greatest coalition of people, who came together to create world peace."

He added: "It is not my spot to render my opinion on other governments but what I will say is that the world is in a beautiful spot."
