Dan Wootton has warned the Channel crossing migrant crisis is now a “national emergency” amid a potential scabies outbreak at RAF Wethersfield.
Around 50 men have been housed at the Essex airfield, just eight miles away from Braintree.
GB News can exclusively reveal that there is an active case of scabies at RAF Wethersfield.
A source also claimed the Home Office is paying a contractor to build an isolation camp for tuberculosis cases.

However, migrants are reportedly arriving in Essex unscreened.
Local councils and health officials had been assured that precautions would be taken beforehand.
It has instead been claimed that migrants are only being tested once on-site.
A former Home Office official told GB News: “This is a first-rate scandal. Heads should roll for this.”
Commenting on the development, Wootton said: “It's time we treated the Channel crisis like the clear and present national emergency that it is.
“We simply cannot allow the left, with their cabal of millionaire, socialist human rights lawyers and Labour activists, to continue frustrating policies designed to stop the boats.
“We can no longer allow the priorities of economic migrants and people smugglers to be put ahead of the health of the British people.”
Responding to GB News’ exclusive, a Home Office spokesperson said: “The welfare of individuals at the site is of the utmost priority.
“All appropriate protocols are being followed in accordance with UK Health Security Advice guidance to manage one case of scabies currently at Wethersfield who has been isolated and is being treated.
“There is assessed to be no risk to the local community.”
There has been large opposition to the Government’s decision to use the site to house Channel crossing migrants.
The High Court accepted Braintree District Council’s initial challenge for a judicial review about using RAF Wethersfield to house up to 1,700 men.
Nearby resident Gabriel Clarke-Holland is also supporting the legal action.
