Residents in a small village in the English West Country have questioned their local council after film-makers for a Harry Potter adaption were allowed to repairs potholes.
Scenes for the new HBO adaption of Harry Potter are set to be filmed in Lustleigh, Devon, and some of the potholes have been filled by the crew.
Lustleigh Parish Council announced the news of the repair on Facebook, saying: "Good news! The filming company have been given permission by the DCC (Devon County Council) highways to proceed with repairs on Wreyland Path, using an approved contractor".
"The contractor will fill all large potholes manually and will then assess if further work needs to be carried out," the post continued.

Residents welcomed the news, however, they questioned why it took the filming of the show for work to be done.
One resident replied: "Can fix potholes for filming but not for everyday use".
Another villager asked if it was possible for the council to "ask the film company, as a good token gesture, to do all the other roads in the parish?"

Wreyland Path is a small lane which is bordered by stone walls and cottages.
The council's team of volunteers go out and repair small potholes with a "Lustleigh pothole tracker' spreadsheet to map the problem areas.
Longer potholes, which are 4cm deep and 30cm wide, have to be reported to the county council.
