Charlie Peters has been nominated for a prestigious award celebrating campaigning journalists.
The GB News presenter has been nominated for Broadcast Journalist of the Year at the Media Freedom Awards.
The award, run by the Society of Editors, celebrates "UK public interest and campaigning journalism".
Charlie has gained much recognition as the reporter who presented "Grooming Gangs: Britain's Shame", which highlighted the scandal of mainly underage white girls being groomed by predominantly Pakistani men across England.
Reacting to the news of his nomination, Charlie said: "It’s a great honour to be recognised by the Society of Editors with this nomination alongside some excellent broadcast journalists.
"I’m proud to be part of our fearless journalism at GB News, which is increasingly setting the news agenda, not just reporting on it."
The winner of the award will be announced Wednesday, November 12 2025 at the Underglobe in London.
Earlier this year, Charlie saw off some of the biggest names in British television to win Best News Presenter at the 56th Television and Radio Industries Club (Tric) Awards.

| GB NEWSCharlie's work with GB News helped force the Government to launch a national inquiry into the scandal after a period of sustained pressure.
After winning the Tric award, Charlie said: "It feels sensational, obviously.
"The great joy of this is that I cover a really horrible story, for the most part; the abuse gang scandal, the grooming and exploitation and to be rewarded for the difference this channel has made on that issue means so much.
"This inquiry being launched… I’m very confident in saying now that it wouldn’t have happened without this channel. GB News has fearlessly engaged with the issue and given it the prominence it truly deserved.
