It comes as the inquest into Jay Slater's death in Tenerife continues

A British tourist has been reported missing in Tenerife after failing to board his flight home to Manchester.

Gerallt, 28, has been missing on the Spanish island for over two weeks.

Authorities have become "increasingly concerned" with the Welshman last known to have left the UK on July 7.

He left his home address in Llandudno just three days before his scheduled flight from Manchester.

Gerallt was due to board his flight back to the UK on July 12, however failed to board the aircraft.

Spanish Police have launched a huge search in an effort, supported by the British Embassy, to locate the 28-year-old.

North Wales Police West Conwy Coastal posted an urgent update which read: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a man who has been missing since earlier this month.

"Gerallt, who is 28 years old, was last seen leaving his home address in Llandudno on July 4th."

The statement added: "He is believed to be in Tenerife, after officers received information that he boarded a flight from Manchester Airport on July 7.

"However following checks made with the airline he did not board his flight home on July 12 as expected."

The man, described by the Police as being 5ft 8ins with short black hair, was last seen wearing a navy-blue tracksuit and black trainers.

Authorities have released an image to the public and urged anyone with information to contact North Wales Police, citing reference number 51398.

It comes as an inquest into Jay Slater's death on the Island began on Thursday.

During the testimony, the teenager's final communications before his disappearance in Tenerife last year emerged.

The 19-year-old sent multiple Snapchat messages to friend Bradley Geoghegan whilst staying with Ayoub Qassim and Stephen Roccus in the early hours of June 17 last year.

The messages, which began around 5.30am, included an image of a bed prepared for him at the men's accommodation.

Geoghegan told the inquest that Slater appeared neither distressed nor anxious in these communications.

Slater's final video message showed him walking along a main road, with Geoghegan noting his friend appeared "in a better way" than during their previous encounter.

The teenager had been removed from Papagayo nightclub at approximately 10pm on June 16 for excessive alcohol consumption, according to Geoghegan's testimony, leading to the location of Slater remaining unknown.

His body was discovered on July 15 in a remote mountainous area.
