The People’s Channel consistently outperformed its rivals throughout the day, including between 4pm and 4.30pm when Rachel Reeves gave a press conference in which she snubbed GB News.

The data also shows GB News set a new daily audience record.

GB News Head of Programming Ben Briscoe said: “These figures show that on the busiest news days of the year, viewers are turning to GB News for coverage of the big stories.
“As well as ensuring we delivered the best insight and analysis from Westminster, our tireless team of journalists were out across all corners of the UK speaking to people and finding out how the Budget impacted them.
“We were also alongside Britain’s farmers as they arrived in London to lobby Ministers.
“GB News will never stop striving to provide a voice to those ignored by the metropolitan media.”
GB News’ Budget day performance comes on the back of a stunning series of ratings wins.
Official BARB ratings reveal the People’s Channel soundly beat both the BBC News Channel and Sky News in October, just as it did in July, August, and September.
And the channel is on track to do the same again in November.
Mr Briscoe added: “More and more people are turning to GB News to watch the bold and fearless journalism we are committed to delivering.
“It makes it all the more bemusing then that the Chancellor snubbed the opportunity to take a question from our Political Editor Christopher Hope yesterday.
“By doing so, she prevented the audience of Britain’s biggest news channel from having a voice. But we will never, ever stop asking questions on their behalf.”
