GB News presenter Bev Turner has hailed the channel and claimed the mainstream media is "going to need us" over the next five years, following Labour's landslide victory.
Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer wiped out 14 years of Conservative power in last week's General Election, winning over 400 seats in Parliament.
Discussing the new government on GB News, Bev stated that the channel has successfully "held the Conservatives to account" throughout their time in power, but now it is the turn of Starmer and his cabinet.
Sharing her thoughts on the new Prime Minister and the incoming Labour era, Bev said: "GB News has suddenly got renewed purpose under this new regime.

"It was all very well holding the Tories to account, and we did that, I think we did that well."
Calling out the other mainstream broadcasters, Bev argued: "Now what we've got is the BBC, Channel 4, Sky News, and they are not going to ask the tough questions of this administration, because I think they largely agree with what they're doing.
"So GB News - I'm sorry, but you're going to need us. You're really going to need us in the next four to five years."
Asking co-host Andrew Pierce if he agrees, Andrew responded: "I certainly do, I certainly do agree. And we're going to get these ministers and Labour MPs on TV.

"There'll be a lot more of them coming on, of course, because they're now in power."
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Taking a swipe at the Conservatives following their election loss, Andrew added: "There's only 121 Tory MPs now. And as I said, the Tories should crawl under a stone for a few months.
"People don't want to hear any more from them, we've heard quite enough. They should have their arguments in private, sort themselves out and come up with a leader in six months time."
Bev and Andrew then shared the thoughts of GB News viewers about the Labour government, as they criticised the plans of Chancellor Rachel Reeves and her decision to lift the ban on onshore wind farms, as well as her stance on pensions.
One viewer said: "Rachel Reeves floated the idea of means testing state pensions. This would break the social contract between the between the government and all workers."

Agreeing with the viewer, Andrew said: "I could totally see them doing this. If you remember, during the election campaign, the Tories said they would bring in a legislation to ensure that the state pension is never taxed, and Labour refused to sign up to it."
Reading the thoughts of viewer Michelle, Bev said: "Michelle has said wind farms are ugly, expensive and will have to be buried in massive turbine graves in 25 years."
Bev agreed with Michelle, claiming: "You're so right, Michelle. This is what people don't realise. The wind turbines and wind farms are vast.
"You don't realise when we see them on the telly, but when you see them in person, they're enormous and they're noisy and you can't recycle them. So landfill will be filled with wind turbines."
