National Savings and Investments (NS&I) has published a list of the most common Premium Bond winner names following the reveal of this month's £1million lottery prize winners.
Unlike traditional savings accounts, Premium Bonds do not earn interest with bondholders being enrolled in a monthly prize draw instead which sees savers win sums of money.
Every month, two lucky individuals take home the top £1million prize from NS&I owever smaller amount are also up for grabs; including £10,000, £50,000, £5,000 and £1,000.
For December 2025, the £1million Premium Bonds winners came from Norwich and Cornwall with each saver's winning bond holding £35,000 and £20,000, respectively.

Analysis from NS&I has revealed that Premium Bonds holders named David, John, Michael or Susan are most frequently among those scooping prizes worth £500 or more.
The Government-backed bank's data shows David has consistently claimed the top spot for significant prize winners every year since 2022, with John, Michael, Susan, Peter and Paul following behind.
These findings emerge from examination of winner records, though NS&I stresses the selection process remains entirely random.
This year alone, 18,220 bondholders called David have secured at least one prize of £500 or above, based on draws from January through October.
Premium Bonds holders can check to see if they have won a prize via the Premium Bonds prize checker app | NSISince 2020, customers bearing the name David have won prizes of £500 or more on over 67,000 occasions across individual years. Beyond the top names, several others appear regularly among significant prize recipients, including Andrew, Robert, Stephen and Margaret.
Christopher, James, Elizabeth and Richard also feature prominently in the winner records compiled by NS&I. The state-backed savings institution has been distributing Premium Bonds prizes since 1957, with hundreds of millions of awards handed out over that period.
Andrew Westhead, NS&I retail director, said: "Premium Bonds are one of the nation's favourite savings products, and since 1957 we've given away hundreds of millions of prizes, so it's interesting to see the most common names of some of our winners.
"But it's important to remember that whatever your name, the Premium Bonds draw is completely random, with each Bond having an equal chance of winning." It should be noted the analysis excludes bondholders whose names are not recorded in NS&I's systems.
Last month, financial journalist Martin Lewis went out his way to debunk a popular myth surrounding Premium Bonds and how people can improve their odds of winning.
While presenting The Martin Lewis Money Show live, the savings expert answered a viewer's question about whether buying Premium Bonds in separate amounts or in a single larger amount.
Mr Lewis told the audience there is "no clever way" to impact the results of the Premium Bonds "random-choice lottery draw" and it is "absolute nonsense" to believe otherwise.
Following Chancellor Rachel Reeves's Budget, NS&I net financial target was raised by £1billion for 2025-26 with analysts noting this means the prize fund rate will likely remain at the same level to entice more Premium Bonds holders. Prize winners for January 2026's Premium Bonds draw will be confirmed on January 4, 2026.
