Millions of Britons (48 per cent) are worried about affording food shops in the lead-up to Christmas, research commissioned by Iceland found.

With Christmas Day just four days away, some shoppers may be worried about getting a delivery slot.

However, Iceland has confirmed there are still thousands of slots available this week for shoppers seeking to secure a festive food shop.

More slots have been released in the run-up to Christmas, the supermarket said.

Customers can book delivery slots through Iceland's online platform or the Bonus Card app.
