In an exclusive members-only chat, GB News Adam Cherry gives his analysis on where the channel sits in the media landscape

EX-Guido Fawkes News Editor Adam Cherry has explained why he joined GBN in an exclusive members-only chat.

Speaking to Community Editor Michael Heaver, he said of the channel: "It's not - people use the term metropolitan bubble - and in terms of how we present news this is not the BBC and this is not ITV.

"The attitude here is fresh and hopefully represents the viewership in a new - and I'll say better - way.

"It represents people outside the M25 in a way that the existing media doesn't.

"In the next 12 months, that's going to be essential because of representing the views of the public as we approach an election."

Looking ahead to that general election, Adam shared his view: "Look, I I think the Tories are in an absolute mess.

" I mean just today I think Labour are ahead by 100 million points. The Tories are on 23 per cent with the public and that has they really haven't shifted the dial at all since Rishi became leader and they may as well have stuck with Boris in the first place.

"I think Labour are going to walk it and all this briefing about how it's going to be close. That is just the expectation management.

"The reality is the Tories lost this election 12 months out and I'm very happy to put that on the record to the camera."
