This week we kicked off the first of our monthly newsroom tours, welcoming our first group of Champion Members through the doors of The GB News Studio where they were given a rare behind-the-scenes look at the production of Britain’s number one news channel.
The tour began in the studio where our presenters work each day to deliver your favourite shows, fearless debates, and thought-provoking commentary on the top news stories.
Once inside the studio, our Champion Members were treated to a host of exclusive experiences. One such being an insightful conversation with National Reporter, Charlie Peters, and Facilities and Safety Manager, David Marfleet, who had returned just days earlier from reporting inside the Gaza Strip. Both offered a closer look into their work and the logistics behind conducting such vital reporting safely.

Fresh from presenting Good Afternoon Britain, guests also received a personal welcome from Nana Akua, who wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible Members, reminding them that “we couldn’t do this without you.”
Our guests also had the opportunity to watch the news bulletins read by Sam Francis live from the studio, giving them a front-row seat to the broadcasting action. Director of Technology and Operations, Dean Ruffy, then shared his expertise, offering insight into how GB News broadcasts are delivered smoothly, securely, and on time. Following an interactive Q&A session – where guests could ask questions, gain insider insights, and learn more about how our programmes come together – the tour continued to the gallery. Here, Champions were introduced to the GB News Head Director, Sebastian Atterbury, and discovered how the channel is broadcast seamlessly to viewers at home.
